Lima Central Catholic has named its new principal, Katie Krieg ‘05, following the announcement that current Principal/CEO Stephanie Williams ‘98 will be moving into a new role as Head of School.
May 23, 2024, Press Release from Lima Central Catholic: The Lima Central Catholic High School Board of Governors voted unanimously this week to renew the ministerial contract for Principal/CEO Stephanie Williams. Ms. Williams continues to be instrumental in fully realizing Lima Central Catholic’s Strategic Plan adopted by the board two years ago. Emphasizing individual student well-being among other pillars, her work has led to the development of new programs and services addressing a student population with a variety of spiritual, academic, and social/emotional needs.
LCC honored their high school students at the Academic Letter Awards Banquet to congratulate the students who have maintained a 3.6 cumulative GPA through the first semester of the current school year with an academic letter. The reception was hosted by the Thunderbird Parent Club, and the Alumni guest speaker this year was 2007 alumnus, Shannon O’Neill Wannemacher. Following the cancellation of last year's event, this year means all that more to the students and staff, as this is one of the first in-person events since last year.
Lima Catholic schools continued on their Catholic Schools Week with a mass on Wednesday.
The event brought students, faculty and staff all together at the Lima Central Catholic gym. LCC principal, Stephanie Williams, said it was the first opportunity to get all the students together. She said Catholic Schools Week is an opportunity to bring everyone together to celebrate the students, faculty, staff, community and faith. Due to the extreme weather the area endured last week, Catholic Schools Week had to be broken up and split between two weeks.
