One person was transported to the hospital this evening following a three-vehicle crash between Lima and Spencerville. The crash happened around 4:30 p.m. Tuesday afternoon at the intersection of Fort Amanda and Grubb roads, with the Spencerville Fire and EMS along with the Ohio State Highway Patrol responding.
October 8, 2024, Press Release from the Wood County Sheriff's Office: On 10/07/2024 at 3:34 p.m., the Wood County Sheriff's Office was informed of a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of US 6 and Range Line Rd in Weston Township. The crash involved a 2005 Chevrolet pickup truck and a 2013 Volvo semi-tractor pulling a tanker trailer. The investigation showed that the Chevrolet pickup truck, operated by Jacob Kern, 31, of Deshler, was traveling south on Range Line Road and failed to stop at a stop sign. The pickup traveled onto US 6, where it struck the trailer of the semi tractor-trailer, operated by John Secord, 44, of Lasalle, MI, which was traveling eastbound. The pickup became lodged under the semi-trailer and became engulfed in flames.

One man has died and another was injured in a crash on I-75 in Shelby County Wednesday afternoon. The Piqua Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol says that the crash happened just after 3 p.m. south of the Botkins Road exit in Dinsmore Township.

Lima fire, police, and EMS responded to a two-vehicle injury rollover crash this afternoon on the city's west end. Around 2:30, a blue pickup truck collided with a gray SUV on Cable Road near Westgate Entertainment Center. The force of the crash caused the SUV to roll over on its top, with one tire popping off.
A driver was cited this morning after his semi-truck flipped over on State Route 66.
Just after 10 this morning the Ohio State Highway Patrol Lima post was dispatched to State Route 66 and Road R after a semi-truck carrying grain flipped over on its side.
