DELPHOS (WLIO) - With the help of the Delphos community, the Delphos Public Library put on their second annual Touch-a-Truck event.

Families and their little ones all gathered for this year's event after last year's drew nearly 300 people.

Free to the public, those in attendance had the opportunity to learn about new careers from the professionals themselves while getting hands-on experience of what it feels like to be behind the wheel.

This year, participants were able to test their need for speed from inside a race car.

"I really like that they can get up close and personal with these kinds of trucks and the types of careers they are involved with and see the options they have. My favorite thing is when they get in and their whole face lights up and they're so excited. For me, the whole point of my job is to bring free things to families. There are no walls to what we can do. Anybody can come out here and enjoy this. It's nice to see them really having fun with it," added Rachel Strahm, Youth Services Librarian at the Delphos Public Library.
