Spring may be just one week away, but Mother Nature is reminding us that winter isn't over quite yet. That's because snow has returned to the forecast for much of Ohio and surrounding states, something we haven't seen much of this year.
A winter weather advisory was issued for all of West Central Ohio on Sunday in anticipation of Monday's potential accumulating snow and while it will be a minor snowfall for most, the Allen County Engineer's Office is preparing for it in case roads do become hazardous. A full staff reported early Monday morning to perform a thorough inspection of all the plow trucks and equipment to ensure everything is road-ready. Any minor issues were attended to and routes were assigned. Officials say they are ready for whatever comes and that when the snow begins to fall, the plows will head out.
Lima has only recorded 6.7 inches of snow this winter, which is nearly 7 inches below where we should be.
