The event is the perfect time for families to buy and sell gently used items.
VAN WERT, OH (WLIO) - The end of August and Labor Day weekend brings the 168th annual Van Wert County Fair.
VAN WERT, OH (WLIO) - Farmers from around the region gathered in Van Wert to show off both modern and historical tractors.
Along the way, people looking for deals can find special areas, where hundreds of vendors are set up. Here locally, we have one of those vendor stops at the Wan Wert County Fairgrounds. Vendors were setting up on Wednesday for a busy weekend, which has become a tradition over the years at the fairgrounds.
Normally, the emporium hosts dozens of craft, home décor, and boutique vendors. However, the market was expanded to accommodate over 120 small businesses to help them catch up from cancelled summer events. Both the Dairy Barn Emporium and Harvest Happenings are free to the public and will last Friday, October 16th until 9 p.m., and Saturday morning from 9 to 4 p.m. The Monster Truck Tour is Saturday at 7 p.m., and limited tickets are available at the fairgrounds.
The Van Wert County Fair has officially wrapped up its 2020 season. Labor Day marked the last day of the 2020 fair. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, only the Junior Fair was conducted this year.
There is fun for the whole family this weekend at the Van Wert County Fairgrounds. This is the 43rd year for Old Fashioned Farmer Days in Van Wert. This three-day event runs through Saturday and includes tons of activities for both kids and adults. Featured are some craft vendors, live music, tractors on display, a petting zoo, and much more.
