The jury found Burse guilty on two of the three counts of trafficking drugs in one case and they found him guilty of possession of a fentanyl-related substance in another case. But when it came to the case of the 2019 shooting at a house on Collett Street, where an occupied car was hit by gunfire, the jury could not reach an agreement that Burse was responsible for the crime.

Opening statements began Tuesday in the three cases against Daquan Burse. He is charged with possession of a fentanyl-related substance. He is also facing charges in two other cases. One of those cases involves trafficking heroin and the other for a 2019 shooting at a house.

Jurors found him not guilty on the kidnapping charge, but instead, they found him guilty on the reduced charge of abduction. They also found him not guilty of rape, but guilty of gross sexual imposition. Back in 2021, Catlett allegedly held a man against his will and had sexual contact with him.

A man involved in a fight outside of J's Pub earlier this year was sentenced Monday at the Allen County Common Pleas Court. Tysheen Polk received a guilty verdict for 1 count of felonious assault to the second degree after beating Bradin Fischer-Jones in the parking lot of J's. Judge Terri Kohlrieser sentenced Polk to a 5 to 7.5 year prison term.

The fate of the suspended Wapakoneta mayor is now in the hands of a jury.  Tom Stinebaugh took the stand in his own defense Friday to dispute the multiple charges he is facing including having unlawful interest in a public contract, conflict of interest, and theft in office.  The state says charges are being focused around a handful of incidents. . Including appointing his brother as acting fire chief days after taking the office of mayor and hiring his sister's company to make signs for the 50th anniversary of Neil Armstrong’s moon landing.

23-year-old Daryl Hunt received the verdict in Allen County Common Pleas Court. He was originally facing three counts of unlawful sexual contact with a minor. The alleged incidents happened in November and December of 2020. Hunt was 21 at the time, but according to the victim, he told her that he was 15 when they met, then said he was 18 after they had sex.

Castle is facing multiple charges including aggravated attempted murder, rape, and 6 counts of kidnapping. Law enforcement officials say that Castle allegedly took the 7-year-old from her home in Kenton. Following a search, she was found the next day in an empty house outside of Kenton. The trial was expected to last a couple of weeks but could have a verdict a little over a week after it started.
