Lima Police, the Lima Fire Department, and the Allen County Sheriff responded to a call that a male had been struck by a vehicle while crossing the Market Street and Nixon Avenue intersection. The driver and a witness were interviewed on scene and the victim was transported to the hospital with injuries, but in stable condition.
29-year-old Markiesha Blackman was indicted this week by the Allen County Grand Jury. Blackman is still in the Allen County Jail on a $350,000 bond. Lima police say that back on November 22, 2022, a fire was intentionally set at 125 West O'Connor. Everyone was able to get out of the house safely. A witness saw Blackman leave the residence before the fire started.

Lima, OH (WLIO) - Two people are in the hospital after a shooting in Lima late Wednesday afternoon.
The Lima Police Department is reporting that both victims were found suffering from non-life threatening gunshot wounds and were taken to the hospital for treatment. Police got the shooting call at 409 Orena Avenue around 10:15 Wednesday night. Detectives learned that four shots were fired into the rear of the home. There are no suspects in custody at this time.
Officers got several calls, his is a picture of the alleged suspect and his vehicle that was captured on a home security camera. One witness says the driver was wearing a ski mask. They are looking for video of the area of West Spring Street, Oil Street, or South Wayne Street between those times on Saturday. There have been several shootings where individuals were injured, calls of shots fired where gun casings were recovered, and reports of people brandishing guns that were not fired.
