But after listening to their stories, they needed help, and they really didn't know how to navigate their mental health journey.”
LIMA, OH (WLIO) - A Lima church held a banquet to celebrate the first summer of a new youth program.
The winners of the "Impact Grants" provided by the City of Lima's Department of Housing and Neighborhoods are gearing up to complete the projects they presented for funding. The Faurot West Neighborhood Association will be handing out more than 100 grab sticks to help clean up the neighborhood and City Life at Rally Point will be adding a new activity for the kids they serve. The Doctor Martin Luther King Junior Neighborhood Association also receiving an impact grant for an event they are planning in October.
On Saturday families gathered at New Life Church International for its annual soup kitchen Thanksgiving Dinner.
A line stretched out to the end of the soup kitchen door as people waited to receive their meal.There was ham, turkey and so much more. Also there were all kinds of different desserts.
People strapped up their helmets and laced up their shoes as they prepared for the 11th Annual River Ride at Heritage Park.
