A Lima man gets sentenced to 3 1/2 years in prison for robbing an Allen County gas station in 2019.
Zyshon Stiggers is charged with aggravated robbery and felonious assault after police say he took part in robbing the Clark Gas Station on Bluelick Road in May of 2019. Stiggers was scheduled to appear for a Change of Plea hearing in Allen County Common Pleas Court on Wednesday. However, he was granted more time to make a decision on accepting a plea deal.
Zyshon Stiggers and his attorney asked to be released on Wednesday so he could attend his grandmother's funeral service. He has to report back to the juvenile detention center by 9 p.m. Wednesday night. His bond was also reduced from $75,000 to $50,000.
An armed robbery Thursday night led to a deputy being shot at early Friday morning. No injuries were sustained but arrests were made. Two 17-year-olds, Duran Tyson Jr. and Zyshon Stiggers were arrested by the Allen County Sheriff’s Office in connection to an armed robbery at Clark Gas Station on Bluelick Road. They took money from two registers and cigarettes at about 10 p.m. Thursday night and after viewing this surveillance video, officials were able to identify Tyson as one of the perpetrators.
