LIMA, Ohio — A nearly two-decade wait came to an end Friday night as the dirt Super Late Models returned to Limaland Motorsports Park for the first time in 18 years, and they did not disappoint.

Starting from the pole, Colton Burdette of Parkersburg, West Virginia, controlled most of the race before being briefly overtaken by Jeff Babcock in the closing laps. But Burdette made his move in the final turn, reclaiming the lead and crossing the checkered flag to earn his first career win.

The action continued with the Modifieds class, where Dillon Nusbaum of Warsaw, Indiana, made it back-to-back victories with another dominant performance.

In the Thunderstocks feature earlier in the evening, Lima native Justin Long came out on top and secured his place in the upcoming King of the Quarter Mile race later this summer.

Limaland once again delivered high-octane thrills and local pride under the Friday night lights.
