Countdown to Kickoff: Liberty-Benton eyes three-peat in final BVC campaign

FINDLAY, Ohio — Liberty-Benton is preparing for its final season in the Blanchard Valley Conference before joining the Northern Lakes League.
The Eagles are aiming to go out on top and win the BVC title for a third year in a row. But the sting of last year’s regional quarterfinal loss still lingers—a week 12 defeat to eventual state runner-up Liberty Center.
The loss exposed areas for head coach Scott Garlock to address, chief among them mental toughness in high-pressure moments.
This fall, the Eagles bring back a strong core, including first-team All-BVC selections Seth Elchert and CJ Barbara. With a new starting quarterback at the helm, Liberty-Benton is focused on flipping the postseason script.
