ELIDA — The Elida Bulldogs kicked off their 2025 football season with a dominant performance, shutting out Toledo Rogers 38-0 at Kraft Stadium on Friday night.

Elida wasted little time setting the tone, as Cameron Kaufman scored the opening touchdown on a 4-yard run in the first quarter. Early in the second, Kaufman struck again, breaking free for a 28-yard score to put the Bulldogs ahead 15-0 after a successful two-point conversion.

The defense added to the momentum when Noah Jostpille intercepted a Rogers pass, setting up the Bulldogs in prime position. Sophomore quarterback Jonan Snyder then connected with Darien Jones for a touchdown, stretching the lead to 23-0 before halftime.

Elida kept the pressure on the rest of the way, piling on points while keeping Rogers out of the end zone. The Bulldogs’ defense completed the shutout while the offense rolled to a 38-point night.

The victory marked a convincing start for Elida, who will look to carry the strong play into Week 2.
