LIMA, Ohio — Elida broke through in a big way Tuesday night, securing its first win of the season with a 5-0 shutout over Lima Central Catholic at Spartan Stadium.
The Bulldogs took control late in the first half. Seth Warner finished off a cross to open the scoring, and just minutes later Cam Emmons drilled home a rebound from the top of the box to double the lead heading into halftime.
After the break, Elida’s attack kept rolling. Hunter Lawson capitalized in front of goal for a 3-0 advantage, then added another strike later in the match to seal the result.
Behind steady defending and a clinical offensive display, Elida never looked back. The Bulldogs handed the Thunderbirds another setback while celebrating their first victory of the year.
