LEIPSIC, Ohio (WLIO) – The Leipsic Vikings kept their perfect record intact Friday night, cruising to a 40-0 shutout over Riverdale in Blanchard Valley Conference play.
The Vikings wasted no time setting the tone, as Trevor Stuber returned the opening kickoff all the way for a touchdown, giving Leipsic a quick 7-0 lead.
Later in the first quarter, quarterback Marc Kirkendall recovered a low snap and connected with Marquise Williams in the end zone to make it 13-0 after the extra point attempt failed. Williams continued to shine, finding running lanes up the middle to keep the Vikings’ offense rolling.
Leipsic’s defense handled the rest, keeping Riverdale off the scoreboard all night. With the victory, the Vikings improve to 6-0 overall and 5-0 in BVC play.
