DELPHOS, Ohio (WLIO) — Lima Central Catholic bounced back in Northwest Conference play with a convincing 65-39 win over Delphos Jefferson at The Stage inside Jefferson Middle School.

The Thunderbirds came in looking to stop a short skid and did so in emphatic fashion, jumping out to an early lead behind a familiar scoring threat. Jordan Priddy caught fire from the opening tip, knocking down a three-pointer to give LCC a quick 5-0 advantage.

Priddy wasn’t done. After having a contested shot blocked, he tracked down the rebound and pulled up for a jumper, extending the run to 9-0 and forcing Jefferson to call an early timeout. The senior finished with a game-high 33 points.

Delphos Jefferson answered out of the break, snapping the run with a strong entry pass inside to Kellen Carder for the basket.

The Jeffcats continued to build momentum, clawing their way back into the game. Carder delivered again with a handoff in the paint, finishing through contact for the hoop and the harm to spark the home crowd.

Lima Central Catholic quickly regained control. Brady Parker drove the lane before kicking it out to Xavier Pernell in the corner, where the junior buried a three-pointer to halt Jefferson’s surge.

From there, the Thunderbirds maintained command on both ends of the floor, pulling away to secure the 65-39 victory.
