LIMA — Lima Senior controlled the match from start to finish, sweeping Woodward in three sets in a nonleague volleyball contest.
Senior Jackie Waithe set the tone early with a kill off two defenders to give the Spartans a 2-1 lead in the opening set. From there, Kennedy Simpson-Parks took over at the service line, delivering a string of aces that stretched the advantage and forced Woodward to call an early timeout.
Amyah King added to the pressure with an ace of her own, placing the ball down the line for another point. Simpson-Parks also contributed seven kills on the night to pace the Spartans’ attack.
Lima Senior rolled to the sweep by scores of 25-11, 25-4, 25-4.
