MINSTER, Ohio (WLIO) — Minster girls basketball left no doubt on their home floor, racing out to a dominant start and never looking back in a 54–18 win over St. John’s.
The Wildcats set the tone immediately, opening the game on a 17–0 run. Senior Jenna Belcher connected from deep to extend the early lead, and junior Kali Schmiesing followed by drilling a three of her own as Minster’s offense caught fire from long range.
In the second quarter, Elise Albers added to the Wildcats’ momentum, converting a tough basket through contact to put Minster firmly in control. Despite the missed free throw, the Wildcats’ advantage continued to grow.
St. John’s battled to stay in the game, with Liv Mueller knocking down a jumper off a feed from Megan Kerner, but the Blue Jays struggled to close the gap.
Minster continued to pour it on late, highlighted by Reece Albers finishing inside as the Wildcats maintained their energy on both ends of the floor.
Minster rolled to a 54–18 victory, improving their early-season form with a complete performance from start to finish.
