PAULDING, Ohio (WLIO) — Paulding completed its first-ever 10–0 regular season Friday night, defeating Antwerp 33–6 to clinch the outright Green Meadows Conference championship.
Junior running back Avery Cooper powered the Panthers’ offense, scoring twice in the first half to give Paulding an early lead. Cooper’s 2-yard touchdown run in the opening quarter put the Panthers ahead 6–0 after a failed two-point conversion.
After halftime, Cooper struck again, pushing through the pile for a 6-yard touchdown to extend the lead to 12–0.
Antwerp briefly showed life in the third quarter when Keegan Gray-Wyckoff capitalized on an interception to score the Archers’ lone touchdown of the night.
But Paulding’s offense surged in the final period, tacking on three fourth-quarter touchdowns to seal the win and an undefeated regular season.
With the victory, the Panthers improved to 10–0 and secured the Green Meadows Conference title outright, marking a historic milestone for the program.
