St. Henry sweeps Cincinnati Christian to reach regional final at Northmont

NORTHMONT — St. Henry advanced to the regional final with a straight-sets victory over Cincinnati Christian in a Division 6 matchup at Northmont High School.
The Redskins dominated from the opening set. Morgan Baumer opened the night with an early ace as St. Henry raced to a 25-9 first-set win. Kylie Bollenbacher continued the attack at the net, and the Redskins closed out the opener comfortably.
St. Henry kept its foot on the gas in the second set, extending a 12-8 advantage with senior Molly Wendell delivering a forceful kill to push the lead. Karlee Buschur added a big block and kill as the Redskins took the second set 25-12.
Bollenbacher struck early in the third set to maintain momentum, and Olivia Gast served up the match-clinching ace to end the contest.
St. Henry completed the sweep 25-9, 25-12, 25-11 and advances to Saturday’s regional final at Northmont at noon.
