WAPAKONETA, Ohio (WLIO) — National Signing Day brought major news to Wapakoneta High School on Wednesday as standout quarterback Caleb Moyer officially committed to Bowling Green State University.
Moyer, the Western Buckeye League Offensive Player of the Year, signed his national letter of intent after earning first-team All-Ohio honors for the second consecutive season.
The senior quarterback will continue his career in the Mid-American Conference, where he is set to play under Bowling Green head coach Eddie George, a former Ohio State standout.
Moyer was a key force behind Wapakoneta’s offense, drawing attention for his leadership and production over the past two seasons.
Also signing on National Signing Day was Wapakoneta offensive lineman Antwan Theobald, who committed to Bluffton University.
Theobald, listed at 6-foot-6 and 300 pounds, provided protection up front for Moyer and now brings size and strength to Bluffton’s offensive line.
