MINSTER, Ohio (WLIO) – St. Henry showed no signs of slowing down Friday night, rolling to a dominant 45-0 shutout over Minster in Midwest Athletic Conference action.
The Redskins (5-1) jumped out to an early lead on their opening drive when quarterback Charlie Werling connected with Brayden Heath for a 37-yard touchdown pass.
Though the two-point conversion failed, St. Henry never looked back. Werling added two rushing touchdowns in the second quarter, including a keeper from inside the 1-yard line, as the visitors built a 16-0 advantage by halftime.
From there, it was all St. Henry, with the senior quarterback leading a balanced offensive attack and the defense pitching a shutout for the second time this season.
The win served as redemption for the Redskins, who lost a close 12-7 contest to Minster (2-4) in last year’s matchup.
St. Henry returns home next week riding a four-game win streak, while the Wildcats will look to regroup after suffering their second shutout loss of the season.
