Fire crews are battling a two-alarm blaze on the West side of Lima.
The Lima Fire Department was called out to 919 Leland Avenue just after 3 p.m. on Thursday. Fire was seen coming from a first-floor window of one half of the duplex. The American Township Fire Department was called to help.
It is unknown what started the fire, but the fire investigator believes the point of origin was a couch on the first floor. There is reported damage on both the first and second floors estimated to be worth $35,000. The Red Cross was called in to assist the person living in the duplex.
