LIMA, OHIO (WLIO) - You didn’t have to travel to Las Vegas to have some fun and try your luck at Texas Hold’em, Roulette, and more.

32nd annual Chamberfest brings hundreds out to have fun

If gambling was not their style, there was a silent auction and the Taste Tour of Lima that showcased some area restaurants best food or beverage options.

Because the Lima/Allen County Chamber brought all of that to the Veterans’ Civic Center for their 32nd annual Chamberfest. The event draws hundreds of people to play cards, slot machines, or maybe even bet on a horse or two with digital horse racing. The chamber cash they play with can be used to bid on prizes at the end of the night. If gambling was not their style, there was a silent auction and the Taste Tour of Lima that showcased some area restaurants best food or beverage options. All the money raised helps the Chamber’s mission of promoting businesses in the area.

“So, everything that we raise here goes back into the chamber, back into the work we do to support businesses. Most of our businesses are small businesses, and we want to celebrate them. But we also have our larger businesses that we help as well, with those smaller businesses,” says Julie Klingler, Dir. of Programs and Community Development.

The grand prize package that was up for bid tonight was a tailgate themed, with a TV, grill, chairs, and everything people need to root for their favorite team.
