Dozens of people took to Ada War Memorial Park to get dirty for Downs.
For the fifth year, families involved with the Down Syndrome Association of Greater Toledo put on a mud volleyball tournament to raise money for support programs for families that have loved ones with Down Syndrome. Co-chair Brad Eaton says he and his family got the idea for an event to help Downs families after their son Wyatt was born.
"We found of before he was born that he had Downs and he's changed our life a lot," says Eaton. "These are awesome kids and I couldn't imagine life without him."
Next year they plan on doing the event out of the heat and under the lights...so keep a lookout for registration information on the Get Dirty for Downs Facebook page or the Down Syndrome Association of Greater Toledo's website.
