L.Y.D.I.A., which is an acronym for Ladies and Youth to Dream and Interrupt Abuse, hosted a free Easter dinner for the community to celebrate the beginning of their work. They plan to provide support to those experiencing domestic violence and other forms of abuse. The faith based program will also be accepting donations of clothing, toys, food, or other items that someone in a dangerous situation might need.

"I had heard a lot of people's stories, and that's what pushed me further to do this, and people are asking for justice; they want help in the community," said Megan Robertson, who founded the organization.

L.Y.D.I.A. will be hosting support groups at Biggby on Cable Road every Saturday from 7-9 p.m.
