All 94 fairs in Ohio receive funding for improvements

OHIO (WLIO) - Governor Mike DeWine will be distributing nearly 10 million dollars to support all 94 of the state's county and independent fairs.

In our local area, the Allen, Auglaize, Hancock, Hardin, Henry, and Mercer County agricultural societies will be receiving $106,831.54.

The same amount of funding will go to the Paulding, Shelby, Van Wert, and Wyandot County agricultural societies. The Putnam County Agricultural Society requested a slightly lower amount and will receive $101,000.

In a statement, Governor Dewine said, "Investing in Ohio's county and independent fairs means investing in some of Ohio's most beloved traditions. These improvements will ensure that our fairgrounds remain safe and accessible for everyone."
