Organizers say it's part of a fight against what they called "oppression" and "dictatorship" with a goal of standing up for democracy and human rights.

The protestors were holding signs, some calling for an end to what they described as executive overreach while fighting to uphold the Constitution.

“We are very angry about what is happening with our country, and we have realized that we are on the brink of disaster. Our country has been taken away from us by oligarchs. When Elon Musk is running our country, you know we have a terribly big problem. We are not going to tolerate people who are immigrants in this country getting mistreated. We are all immigrants. If they are criminals, they should be locked up like all criminals regardless of how they came to this country. I'm 72 years old, and I’m not letting my granddaughter go back to a time when they didn't have the same rights that I have had most of my life. We are not going back. We have to stand up and stand tall for our democracy," stated Rochelle Twining, Chairman of the Allen County Democratic Party.

Twining urges people to write, text, email, and call congressional and senate representatives and those elected in Ohio to let their voices be heard.
