We caught up with the general manager of the Allen County Fair to clear up some confusion about a change this year.

Bob Fricke said this year at the Allen County Fair there will be no re-entry for people who purchase single-day tickets. There, however, still is multiple re-entry for those people with memberships and season passes. Fricke said the change comes after talking with staff members who expressed there was fraudulent activity with stamps in recent years. The fair does still have discount days on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday as well their discount with the West Ohio Food Bank.

"We are going to accommodate emergency situations or if someone needs to go out to a car or vehicle that's here on the fairgrounds," said Fricke, general manager of the fair. "Medicine, drop something off, need to get something out of the car we'll be accommodating, that's common sense. But if someone plans on leaving for an extended period of time we're just not set up to allow re-entry on those single-day tickets."

Fricke added there are current discounts for memberships and season passes but will increase when the fair begins.
