LIMA, OH (WLIO) - History came alive at the Allen County Museum.
The night at the museum is a way to make the rich history of Allen County and northwest Ohio something to be proud of and a fun learning experience.
Thursday night was the third year for the "Night at the Museum," as characters leaped out of the past to give a living glimpse of what life was like right here in Lima. Characters were dressed up, and guests were in costume as well to get in the Halloween spirit.

"I think a lot of times people think of museums as something stagnant or that you go and read. And we really want to make it so you feel like you're coming and having an experience and engaging. And our volunteers are amazing; you really learn about this kind of stuff and can tell you the stories either as a character or more of an ambiguous idea like a train conductor or something like that," said Hannah Bergstedt, public engagement and learning coordinator at the Allen County Museum.
The Allen County Museum's next big event will be the annual Christmas Tree Festival the first week of December.
