LIMA, Ohio (WLIO) - The Allen County Agriculture Society board of directors holding their monthly meeting.
Most of Wednesday's agenda was spent on final preparations for the upcoming Allen County Fair in August. In addition to that, the board had some last-minute maintenance items that needed addressed and approved by the board leading up to this year's event.

Before the meeting adjourned, the group was sure to circle back on their recent concessions meeting to make more headway in their attempt to build a more mutually beneficial relationship with their non-profit organizations.
"Some of the things that we passed tonight, we're looking to purchase a new piece of equipment to replace a front-end loader that we have," said Promotions and Operations Manager, Troy Elwer. "We passed a motion to replace a couple of doors on a couple of our restroom facilities and other facilities across the property. We also approved some other exciting things, like our outstanding fair supporter for this year as well as our parade Marshal, but that information will be soon to come."
The fair encourages you to check out and make your guesses on the identity of the giant sculpture currently being built on the north end of the grounds by the Bear Hollow Wood Carvers.
