COLUMBUS, Ohio - The American Heart Association is excited to share that the Ohio Conference Committee has released their changes to the Operating Budget Bill (HB 96) — and we’re thrilled to share that $1,000,000 per year in funding for the SNAP Double Up Food Bucks program (Produce Perks) has been secured in the final version of the budget.
This is a significant win for the American Heart Association, our partners, and all Ohioans. This funding helps ensure that families utilizing SNAP can continue to access fresh, healthy fruits and vegetables, making nutritious choices more affordable while supporting local farmers and strengthening our state’s economy.
Ohio Governor Mike DeWine has signed HB 96 into law.
