TOLEDO, Ohio (WLIO) — A Bluffton man and a Lima woman are facing federal child pornography charges.
The FBI arrested Kris Shoemaker and Kayla Miller after a tip led to an investigation into the pair allegedly sharing videos of children under the age of 10. Shoemaker is charged with receiving and distributing child pornography. Miller is charged with sexual exploitation of a minor.
In 1992, Shoemaker was convicted of attempted gross sexual imposition involving a girl under the age of 13. At the time of his recent arrest, he was no longer required to register as a sex offender. According to federal court documents, both Shoemaker and Miller have waived their preliminary hearings. No other court dates have been set.
