June 17, 2025, Press Release from Cenovus Lima Refinery:
LIMA, Ohio - On Wednesday, June 18, Cenovus Lima Refinery will conduct an emergency exercise that includes activity outside the refinery. The public may see refinery response teams and local first responders working in teams at locations along the Ottawa River. They could also see additional first responder vehicles at the refinery. Any radio traffic would be preceded by communication such as “this is a drill.”
Safety is our top value at Cenovus. As part of that, we conduct emergency training exercises to make sure we’re prepared to deal with an incident in the unlikely event that one occurs.
