LIMA, Ohio (WLIO) — A local businessman is bringing a new event to the downtown entertainment scene aimed at celebrating the community and its homegrown talent.

419 Day will take place Sunday, April 19, at Up Town Bar & Grill 318, featuring an afternoon of live entertainment, local vendors and artists. Organizers say the event is designed to highlight local creativity while encouraging residents to spend time in the heart of the city.

Owner Leandra Johnson says the event is about more than entertainment — it’s about building energy and engagement downtown.

“I think that it's important to to get people downtown, because it's our downtown, you know, just to get people out and about, moving around, giving them something to do. Entertainment wise, you know, far as for 419, day, it will be very entertaining again, music, food vendors, you know, it's just a community event,” Johnson said.

The event begins at 4:19 p.m. on Sunday and is open to the public, offering a chance for attendees to support local talent while enjoying food, music and community connection.
