LIMA, Ohio (WLIO) — Hot cars and hot pizza helped one local restaurant show support for first responders on 9/11.

The Pizza Hut on North Cable Road hosted a give-back event featuring a car show in the parking lot. Customers were encouraged to stop in for pizza and wings, with 20% of all sales from the night going to support local first responders.

“First responders don't get enough recognition, and we just wanted to show our support to them. Even if it's not a bunch of money, it's something because they do so much for the community. So, it makes us feel good to be able to give back to them some,” said Amanda Burgett, district manager.

The Cable Road Pizza Hut hopes to host more give-back events in the future. People with questions are encouraged to reach out to the restaurant.
