LIMA, Ohio (WLIO) — Jordan Priddy scored a game-high 23 points as Lima Central Catholic defeated Bath 66–43 on Saturday night to capture its third straight Tip-Off Classic championship.
Priddy set the tone early. The junior slipped backdoor off a screen for an easy layup in the first quarter, then added a 3-pointer moments later as he totaled eight points in the opening frame.
Bath countered in the early going, with Zach Welsch knocking down a smooth pull-up jumper to keep the Wildcats within reach.
But LCC’s offense continued to stretch the lead in the second quarter. Brady Parker found Hunter Williams alone on the wing for a 3 that pushed the Thunderbirds’ advantage to 28–21.
Bath attempted to rally after falling behind by 11 when Logan Markley buried a 3-pointer to trim the deficit back to single digits.
The Wildcats, however, couldn’t slow Priddy, whose scoring and pace helped LCC seize control for good.
Lima Central Catholic closed out the victory with a strong second half to open the season with another tournament title, finishing off Bath 66–43.
