LIMA, Ohio (WLIO) — Liberty Arts Magnet students and their families stayed after school Wednesday night for some fun at the school's second annual Fall Carnival.
The event featured plenty of games and prizes for children, food and snacks for families, and, new this year, a “touch a truck” experience where students got up close to vehicles driven by first responders, AEP, and tow truck companies. The carnival provides a way for everyone connected with the school to see each other in a different light.

“I think it's great to get the families together and come out and see the school, to see the teachers in a different light than just teaching their children. So that's why we are having it, and again, to get them to come out, come to the school, do something as a family, and to really just enjoy themselves. Each year, it just keeps getting bigger, and we've had an amazing turnout this year. I'm so proud of everybody who's put in effort, you know, to come out,” said David Haberman, principal of Liberty Arts Magnet.
Funds raised during the festival help pay for field trips as part of the school's Positive Behavior Incentive Program. Students who qualify for the program will visit the Apex Center at the end of the month for a day of fun.
