LIMA, Ohio (WLIO) - A legislative forum for workers' compensation and employment law was hosted Tuesday by the Lima/Allen County Chamber of Commerce.
The forum brought all the key players together to discuss what has been done to improve the workers' compensation experience for injured workers and the employer. Ohio's Bureau of Workers' Compensation administrator Stephanie McCloud says that Ohio has the 5th lowest premium rates nationwide, and that they work hard to provide quality services.
"While we're a government agency, we're still someone that you want to do business with - we're here to serve the employers and the injured workers in the state of Ohio, and to make sure that this is the best run system in the country," McCloud said.

"While workers' compensation can seem daunting, really when you get down to it, there are a lot of basic principles that can help employers out, and you can save a lot of money by doing the right steps," said Robert Solt IV, Attorney at Law for Bugbee & Conkle.
McCloud says they will continue to work together to keep rates low and to keep work places safe.
