LIMA, Ohio (WLIO) - Lima 6th ward city councilman Derry Glenn brought up the idea of having a dog warden specifically for Lima.

There were many different ideas on how this plan could be executed, but the meeting was tabled until more officials can bring their input. He mentioned different cases in which dogs have hurt people, as well as what the council can do to make lima safer for all.

Lima Council proposes city dog warden, plans April meeting

"A lot of folks saying they're making calls, they're not getting anyone there. So, we want to find out what's going on. So, I am going to make sure I meet with the commissioners tomorrow, and also meet with the chief tomorrow, our police chief, and the mayor administration to make sure all three of them have representatives here on the 21st," says Derry Glenn, Lima's 6th ward city councilman.

They concluded with making a meeting for the commissioners, police, and other administrations to share ideas and input on the status of a dog warden and lowering the harm rate of pit bulls. This meeting will tentatively take place on April 21st at 5 pm.
