LIMA, Ohio (WLIO) - Mayor Sharetta Smith of Lima started the annual "Walking the Wards" to hear feedback from Ward 2.
The mayor, along with other Lima officials, gathered with residents living in the 2nd Ward to talk about concerns, successes, and improvements within the area. Each attendee was given a neighborhood update, providing information about investments, repairs, and other upcoming changes. Residents were able to share their concerns with the current state of the ward, the most prominent being speeding and parking issues. City officials say they are working to resolve these issues and encourage residents to form neighborhood associations to let new homeowners in the ward know about the current laws.
"But we were also able to produce a ward report showing investments that have been made in Ward 2 over the last few years, as well as those investments that are planned for the next upcoming years on there. So, we want to encourage residents, look for when we are going to be in your ward, and we are looking forward to having those conversations and continuing the dialogue," says Mayor Sharetta Smith, City of Lima.
