LIMA, Ohio (WLIO) - The University of Northwestern Ohio sent another graduating class into the world this weekend, celebrating the accomplishments of 757 students who earned one or more degrees during two commencement ceremonies.
The graduates represent 38 states and 18 different countries. They will walk away with lasting memories, the result of countless hours of hard work that made it possible to walk across the stage.
"My time as a racer honestly means everything to me. I mean, this school has brought me up. I mean, I'm small town kid from Canada, and come over here with amazing opportunities at UNOH and I just really excited to, you know, carry this on in the United States and get a real world job now and and keep learning. Because, you know, you never stop learning the real world. So there's always more opportunities to go and grab and that's that's my goal," said Randy Giroux, who received an associate's degree in robotics and automation.

"Today means a great deal. It's just a recap, a one day celebration of four years of hard work and excitement and tears and good times bad times, and it's just a great, great day to look back on all of our accomplishments," said Corrin Howard, who earned a bachelor's degree in sports marketing and management.
It was also a proud moment for the university as faculty and staff watched another class complete its academic journey.
"I think it's the most special day every year, because it's the, you know, the final day for our graduates going out into the employed world. Most of them have jobs already lined up. So it's accumulation of their success and celebration today," said Dr. Jeff Jarvis, president of the University of Northwestern Ohio.
Congratulations to the UNOH graduating class of 2025.
