LIMA, Ohio (WLIO) - The Lima Police Department seeing some changes as several officers are moving up the ranks.
Chief Curtis Hile doing the honors as three LPD officers are promoted due to their leadership, experience and service to the community. 15-year LPD veteran Lt. Shane Huber has been promoted to the rank of major. He is a member of the departments bike team and bomb squad.
Bryce Garman joined the department in 2012 and quickly moved up the ranks to sergeant and is now promoted to the position of lieutenant. He is also a member of the bike team and the SWAT team.
Officer Cory Noftz has been promoted to sergeant and is part of the K-9 unit and is on the bike team. He started with the department in 2012.
Their promotions were effective on December 6th.
