LIMA, OH (WLIO) – A Lima man has been sentenced to 16 TO 19 years in prison for committing a 2024 shooting and robbery.
An Allen County jury found Jeremiah Washington, 20, guilty of felonious assault, aggravated robbery, and well as the gun specifications on those charges.
The charges stem from an incident in July 2024, when law enforcement responded to a reported shooting at Bill's Drive Thru on North West Street in Lima. According to prosecutors,Washington shot the victim in the arm and stole $60 worth of marijuana. After the shooting, Washington fled from scene into an apartment complex on Brower Road where he was later arrested. The trial lasted three days. It took the jury only a couple of hours to reach their verdict.

LIMA, OH (WLIO) – A jury is now deliberating the fate of a Lima man charged in connection to a 2024 shooting incident.
Jeremiah Washington, 20, is facing charges of felonious assault and aggravated robbery. In July 2024, law enforcement responded to Bill's Drive-Thru on North West Street in Lima following a report of a shooting. Officers found a victim with serious injuries lying on the pavement.
Washington allegedly fled the scene and was later arrested at an apartment complex on Brower Road. Prosecutors say Washington shot the victim in the arm and stole $60 worth of marijuana. The jury received the case Thursday afternoon following three days of testimony.
