LIMA, Ohio (WLIO) - A demolition project for a former railroad bridge in downtown Lima has been delayed.

The removal of the North Union Street underpass was originally scheduled to begin Dec. 1. However, due to weather, the city of Lima announced the start date has been pushed to Monday, Dec. 8.

In late July, officials announced plans to demolish the county-owned bridge after the Allen County engineer reported structural deficiencies. The cost of the demolition is estimated at about $15,000.
