Ottawa-Glandorf conquers Africentric in Division V regional final, advances to state semifinal

MANSFIELD, Ohio (WLIO) — The Ottawa-Glandorf Lady Titans captured the Division V regional championship with a 54-42 win over Africentric at Mansfield Senior High School, improving to 27-0 on the season.
The first half was tightly contested, with the Titans holding a slim 17-16 lead at halftime.
In the third quarter, Ottawa-Glandorf began to pull away. Gracie Lammers nailed a long-range shot, and Karsyn Erford’s spin move set up Madison McKee for a basket as the Titans outscored Africentric 24-13 in the period to take a 41-29 advantage.
Late in the fourth, Alivia Grothause drove for two points to extend the lead to 12. Erford added to her team-high total of 26 points with a strong finish off the glass, sealing the victory for Ottawa-Glandorf.
The Lady Titans will face Fairland in the state semifinal at Wright State University on Friday, March 13th at 5 p.m.
