DEFIANCE, Ohio (WLIO) — This week’s K&M Contracting Play of the Week comes from the district title game between the Crestview Knights and the Spencerville Bearcats.
With the game tied at 62 in double overtime, Crestview drove to the basket looking for the go-ahead score. The initial shot missed, but Will Sheets was in perfect position under the hoop. The junior tipped the ball back in to give the Knights the lead, and it would end up being the game-winning bucket.
Sheets finished with a game-high 31 points as Crestview secured the district championship and punched its ticket to the regional round.
Crestview will return to action in the regional semifinal in Bowling Green, Ohio on Thursday when they rematch their Northwest Conference foe, the Lincolnview Lancers.
