LIMA, OH (WLIO) - Small business owners and vendors did their part on Saturday to raise money to fight cancer.

Relay for Life's 3rd annual Vendor Show at the South Side Christian Church was their biggest so far, with 32 booths offering things from caramel apples to home decor. Each vendor also donates an item to the nonprofit to be raffled off at their big annual fundraiser in June. The Vendor Show is just one example of how organizations in the community support Relay for Life throughout the year, and just how many people are invested in fighting cancer.

"We actually have one vendor that's new this year, that she's a breast cancer survivor. So she does a lot of nonprofit things on her end as well. All of these vendors, just like all of us, if you haven't had cancer yourself, you know somebody who has. It does touch everybody's hearts," said Ginny Stump, one of the vendors and the organizer of the show.

"You can't go in our community without knowing somebody who has either lost somebody, but the more exciting thing is, how many cancer survivors we have now, and that's all from the research that the American Cancer Society has been able to do with the money that is raised in events like the Relay for Life," added Cheryl Nagy of Relay for Life of Lima.

The 30th annual Relay for Life will be held on June 14th at 6 pm at Spartan Stadium.
