A select few got the chance to speak face-to-face with people who have been in space.

The Armstrong Air and Space Museum held a dinner gala, where people could check out the museum exhibits and talk to people who have experienced them first hand. The dinner is a unique opportunity for space enthusiasts because they often get to hear stories they otherwise would not.

"It's one thing when you are in the audience listening to the talk, it's another thing when maybe you get a chance to get your picture taken and an autograph afterward," said Dante Centuori, Exec. Director for the museum. "It's a whole other level when you can actually spend a lot of casual time. People are sharing stories, they're hearing things that maybe you wouldn't hear if you went to the talks so I think that's why people like that."

Wapak will wrap up the 50th Anniversary Celebration on Sunday, with rocket activities at the museum and the Wink at the Moon concert to be performed by the Lima Area Concert Band at 7:00 pm.
