DELPHOS, OH (WLIO) - Since being founded in 1998, a Delphos Foundation has made a significant impact in their community by distributing grant money in an effort to help others. That same act of kindness continued Tuesday evening.
For the 23rd year in a row, the Arnold C. Deinstberger Foundation board members awarded $250,000 worth of grant money to organizations including the Senior Citizen Center, Delphos City Schools, Rotary Club, and the Kiwanis Club. The foundation's mission and purpose are to continue to help education and community development to the best of their ability in their effort to make Delphos a better community.
"We want the legacy of the Deinstberger Foundation to be giving back to the community. The people that were here tonight for the presentation, that is the hard part of the job. Our job is the easy part. The hard job is all of our people of the city of Delphos that do what they do in making Delphos a better community to live; and with our help from a monetary standpoint, we're able to accomplish that," added Rick Miller, Vice President, The Arnold C. Deinstberger Foundation.
On Tuesday night the Deinstberger Foundation officially surpassed seven million dollars donated to aid the Delphos community since the group was established.
