WAPAKONETA, Ohio (WLIO) — A St. Marys man was sentenced to 10 years in prison after pleading guilty to charges involving sexual contact with a minor.
Hector Hernandez, 52, was sentenced in Auglaize County Common Pleas Court on charges of sexual battery and unlawful sexual conduct with a minor. Eleven other counts were dismissed as part of a plea agreement reached in March.
According to court records, Hernandez was employed as a bus driver for the St. Marys School District when the offenses involving a teenage student occurred. The incidents did not take place on school grounds.
Hernandez was also classified as a Tier III sex offender.
